Charles Kenneth Link

July 19, 1948 - July 15, 2016

Charles Kenneth Link age 67, of Douglasville passed away Friday, July 15 at Wellstar Douglas Hospital. He was born to Elbert Theodore Link and Ellen (Thomas) Link on July 19, 1948 in Durham, NC. Among his many accomplishments, Charles graduated from Cal State - San Bernadino with a Bachelor's in Business Administration. Mr. Link was a disabled veteran having served honorably in both the Air Force and the Army. He was assigned to the 82nd Airborne Division, served in Vietnam and awarded the Bronze Star. Aside from his honorable military service, Mr. Link worked in real estate and as a pharmacy technician. In his private life he enjoyed traveling and with his wife, visited every state in the nation. His travels were not limited to roadways, he was also a private pilot. Mr. Link will be remembered as a hero who loved serving his country, a loving family man and a wonderful husband. Charles Link is survived by his wife, Sandra Marie Link; son, Frank Allen Link and his wife, Gayle; daughter, Michela Ebony Link; brother, Lyle Link and grandchildren, Ellen Louise Link and Emma Marie Link. The family will receive friends for visitation on Friday, July 22 from 5pm to 7pm at White Columns Funeral Chapel, Mableton Ga., funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 23 at 3:00 pm at World Changers Church, 2500 Burdett Rd, College Park. Burial will follow at Mount Harmony Memorial Gardens in Mableton, Ga.
