Donald Clark

Donald Beverlin (Don) Clark died peacefully at his home in Mableton, GA on October 15, 2020. Don is survived by his children, Kevin Wesley (Rhonda) Clark of Bowdon, Ga; Donald B Clark,Jr of California; Cathy Marie Burch of California; Sherrill Virginia Tompkins of California; Martha Jean Dosey of California; 21 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; his brother Thomas J. (LInda) Clark of Highlands, NC, and many nieces and nephews including his niece, Karen White who took loving care of him the last two years of his life. He is preceded in death by his mother and father, stepfather Q.Z. Clark, son Carl E. Clark, infant son, Keith L. Clark, wives Dorothy Clark, Yvonne Mayfield Clark, Hilda Clark, companion Jean Thibodeaux, and sister Dorothy Clark Carr. Don was born on July 11, 1932 in Atlanta, GA to Virginia Starnes Clark and Leonard T. Clark. He joined the U.S. Navy after high school and served in the Korean War. He had a passion for cars, he enjoyed working on his 65 Barracuda with his son Kevin and taking it to show off at car shows. He also enjoyed baking cakes, canning his famous spicy pickles, and loved singing in the choir at Bethany United Methodist Church where he was a member for over 20 years. Don touched the lives of many people and will be greatly missed. There will be a private graveside service for the family. A memorial service will be scheduled in the near future for friends to celebrate Don’s life. White Columns Chapel & Cremations is honored to serve the family of Mr. Donald Clark.
