Janie Elizabeth West passed away on Saturday January 15, 2022. Elizabeth was born on June 2, 1936 in Calhoun Georgia. She had a very long and beautiful marriage to the love of her life, William Howard West. They were married on Sunday June 27th 1954. Elizabeth was the most loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother and a solid foundation to us all. She taught us strength, compassion, but above all, love. She was a very gentle soul that will be missed by all who knew her. Elizabeth leaves behind her husband, Howard West and children Bill West (wife Diane), Tim West and Ginny Jacobs (husband Terry), grandchildren; Paul Christopher, Beth Christopher, Natalie Osbon, Austin West, Justin West, Kristen Faircloth, Scott West, Steve West, Katie Garcia, Rylie Jacobs, Rowan Jacobs, Rhyse Jacobs, her many great grandchildren, and sisters Sally Jefferies and Jo Hubbard. She is proceeded in death by her daughters Barbara Dean West, Debra Jean West, Cathy Christopher, son Bob West and sister Pat Greene. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday, January 19 from 5 pm to 7 pm in White Columns Chapel with the funeral service Thursday at 1 pm.
